The very name "Tree Adventure" Conjures excitment and a bit of nervousness around what a rank beginner like myself could possibly expect. Yet from the moment you are greeted by staff those nerves are replaced by confidence facilitated by the relaxed, professional and friendly team.
I can't emphasise enough how much having a responsive and supportive team around you and the kids really makes the difference between a good experience and one you will never forget.
There are several courses for all ages and abilities all embedded within such a beautiful environment right on the river. The special features of this activity are the safety strategies and the design of the courses.
There is nothing more satisfying than discovering you really are safe. This allows you to work through physical and "thinking" challenges and sometimes many many metres high above the ground and in situations you'd expect to see in an action movie. No matter your age or level of physical fitness you are going to find something that meets your needs for a challenge, fun and meaningful time with family or friends...in fact you're likely to make new friends as you navigate your way though obstacles, across zip lines and down to the ground from some really tall trees.
I cannot recommend Trees Adventure...

Super friendly staff who are there to help you overcome your fears and hit the dizzying heights of the tree tops. My tip of the day is to wear good shoes suitable for climbing, cooler clothing than you would normally wear for the weather of the day and make sure you are generally fit and well on the day.
You have to walk through the zoo (for my rant about what a-holes the zoo are please see my full review on their profile) and there are no toilets on site (toilets are located at the front of the zoo) so make sure you go beforehand.
Before you go climbing and zip lining there is a safety briefing and a training session on how to connect, and stay connected, to the safety equipment. There are a number of different courses to choose from ranging from beginner right up to advanced with very high and challenging obstacles.
If you have kids then there is a childās course to keep the little ones entertained.
My folks came with us and they are in their 70ās and managed to get through the intermediate red course. So give it a go and head on down.
Special mention to Peter for getting us through the zoo (the owners are really nasty) and Tegan for encouraging me (coaxing more like it š) down the last...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhatever you do, donāt book the last session. It says 2.5 hours but after 1 hour 45min the staff begin to tell people that they are no longer allowed to start a new course as there is not enough time before your time runs out. My son was stopped part way through a course and had to go back with a staff member as they said there was insufficient time left to do a longer course. This was at 4.10pm. Theoretically he should have 50 mins left. We had paid for our time to be spent climbing. We later found out that the facility has to close up at 4.45pm so therefore customers should not be paying for 2.5 hours at this time as you only effectively get 1.5 hours. We complained to staff but their attitude was not very understanding, one even said āthatās not my problemā. We were not the only customers upset by this. There were three groups of us leaving at the same time and we all left feeling...
