The tour bus leaves from the Darwin Tourist Office Building where you can pick up your tickets. The tour bus leaves on the side of the Tourist Office Building. The bus ride is about one hour each way. The parking area is a short walking distance to the pier. Some of the visitors drive their own vehicles to the parking area. There is a large covered waiting area with a separate fast food store selling beer, soft drinks, water hot and cold snacks. There are restrooms on the way to the docks.
There are a lot of flies in the area that buzz around attached to your clothes and skin.
The tourists are loaded on to a flat bottom boat with two rows of seats on each side a capacity about 48.
There is one person who steers, talks and attracts the crocodiles. The boat leaves the docks heads down river for a couple of miles crocodiles can be seen on both sides of the river in the water.    Read moreLiterally epic, worth every cent and up close and personal. There are other tour companies but none can compare to the experience as a trip on the Adelaide River Queen II double decker boat. The inside has panoramic views face to face with jaws of death. The top deck has a higher view and fresh air. The team is absolutely wonderful how they educate you on crocodiles with a sense of humour and while you wait and after you disembark there is a cafe and gift shop with a great menu and heaps of cool stuff. I've been on the cheaper alternatives that are honestly terrible. Cheaper ones you must remain seated and they have little respect for the crocs such as making them fight for fun where the Adelaide River Queen crew treat these animals with such respect as a living animal and respect that they are a wild animal without encouraging them to kill each other. Don't do any other cruise to see crocs unless it's the Adelaide River Queen. I can almost 100% ensure you that you won't regret spending a little more that gets you SOOO MUCH MORE and...
Read moreWOW! We weren't going to do a jumping croc cruise, but I am so glad we did! It was AWESOME! The facilities were clean, there is a booking office with souvenirs, and a kiosk for snacks and refreshments. The staff were amazing! We rocked up, no booking, and with our Assistance Dog. We chatted to the staff who provided a safe area for our pooch while we did the hour long cruise on the pathfinder. The cruise was safe and controlled. Connie operated the boat and was our amazing your guide. The information was educational. We saw several crocs of varying sizes, the smallest being "Little Man". Connie knew each of the crocodiles, and their behaviours. As one croc was coming out to the boat at full steam (which was very quick), Connie had the meat dangling out to distract him. It was so exciting to see these magnificent reptiles in the wild. On the return route, Connie fed the raptors and provided educational on their behaviours. Would we do it again! YES!!! Would we recommend this your...
