I really enjoyed walking this trail! I was lucky to go on a lovely sunny day, although it was 35 degrees. Do note that the trail does has a lot of natural shade: I went on a hot day and I didn't find it unbearable.
The track itself is well kept and very easy to follow along. Each 'milestone' (e.g. the Keppel trail lookout) has a map that clearly indicates where you are, where you're heading and how far you've walked which I found super handy as I did this walk solo and without any phone reception.
The signs say it's a 3-4 hour walk: it took me just over 2 hours at a leisurely pace with plenty of stops for snacks and photos.
