I think you've made a mistake with the name of the shop, it’s not European, it’s Italian food... 70% of the cheese are from Italy, and 50% of them are just parmesan, and for the charcuterie it’s 100% from Italy... at best 5 cheeses from France, while having a map with some of the best cheese of France, not even available in the shop... I'm French and I've never seen half of the cheese available here, with very cliché names to trick the Australian consumer, which one of them is actually made in Australia (taste of milk varies a lot with the region), while the best French cheese are missing... Beaufort, Abondance, Reblochon, Raclette, Morbier, Emmental, Crottin de chèvre, Maroilles, Saint Maure... same with Netherland cheese, not a single Gouda, Maasdam or Mimolette in sight, the most famous ones... so much potential wasted trying to sell unknown cheese.

Lucy I note your comment regarding masks with one of your customers and I wish to advise you that my medical condition is written on my face mask exemption letter like many others, provided by doctors. I do not wish to disclose my private medical information with a stranger therefore asking a customer is counter productive as you still have no idea if my letter is legitimate if I cover over half of the information. I could wave anything at you and you would still not know. Please be kind to your customers who are supporting your business and protecting your job. A mandate is NOT law and you should not bite the hand that feeds you as your Premier is not going to put his hand in his pocket to help your business when you start to go under if and when he shuts you down! Support your customers and be kind to them.

This place is sensational! It has everything you need and everything you don't (but you'll most likely buy anyway!). There's an amazing array of European foods, coffee, homewares etc but what makes this place truly special are the staff. They are so helpful and knowledgeable, and I don't feel intimidated when I ask questions. There's also great parking, free tastings and plenty of special offers. As for the Cheese Cathedral... well that should be a tourist desination in itself, it really is that incredible!

Terrible service!!! called up twice (before driving all the way in to your store) to check whether you had a particular item in stock (which I was told you did)...when I arrived in store today the two women I spoke too (one on floor one sitting down at check out) were unfazed about the fact that I had been told you had a product that you actually had none of ...both replied with a similar comment : ‘calling up and confirming we have stock of something doesn’t actually mean we have it’ - are you kidding me?!? What is the point of saying you have something if your not even sure! And when I suggested that perhaps one of the apparent 6 people that answer calls upstairs could perhaps take the 5 steps down stairs to check the shelf so a customer doesn’t drive all the way in for nothing I get ‘oh no that’s not their job, they just answer phones and look at stock on the computer’ - that is ridiculous! ...terrible way to run a business, anger customers and ensure people don’t return. Good news is I called re-store and without even requesting the person on the phone said ‘hang on while I check what we have on the shelf’ ...never again European foods, why would I bother when you clearly cant...

Have some of the product that they used to have on Aberdeen Street but stil look prety empty. Products are just spreaded on the shelves in one row in the front and stil don't have prices on exactly like in the first day they open. In the famous cheese room, they made lots of publicity about, the water stil licking from the ceiling like in the first day. They havn't manage to repair the refringeretion in months. I went in the cheese room and have been there 3 workers, a shelf for reduced price items a big pallet troley. You need to snick around to have a look at the cheeses. Reduced items have 25% or 50% reduced labels but you'll never find how much is the full price to see what is the final cost. I have asked a supervisor how come they don't have prices for the items and i have been told that they still move things around. It would not be easier for them and for clients if they would put a price label on each product? Than will not be a worry that they are...

There is a fabulous selection of foods at the Marketplace. Cheese from around the world, loads of different crackers to enjoy with your cheese. The Cheese Cathedral has so many varieties that I came out of there with enough cheese to last a month but it’s so good that it only lasted a week! The Marketplace has numerous varieties of coffees and teas. Pastas, grains, flour, butter from France and other countries but best of all, from Australia. You can stock up on all sorts of gourmet foods for the biggest parties you might hold. They even sell beautiful platters, if you haven’t been into the gift store area, you really should go in there and have a look, you will not come out empty handed, the platters, wood, glass and ceramic varieties are stunning, a must have for the avid entertainer. Go on! Have a look, if you haven’t been there yet, your missing out on a gourmet lovers first...
