We took our family (2A 3C) to the open/running day and did the trip out to Dungog on the 100yr CPH rail motors .

be aware that the main entrance is on Webber's Creek Rd, not around the corner near Prince and Church St, which is the volunteer entrance. The we had a great time cost for admission, and the trip is $15 A and $10 C, which includes a guided tour of the museum and the return trip to Dungog

if doing the Dungog trip, be sure to pack some snacks and drinks to take along as there isn't any available on the train and nothing at the...

It is great to see such a great group of volunteers that are passionate about their trains, the history of rail and keeping it alive for the generations to come. The open day and going on Chp to Dungog and back is awesome and worth the ride. May have found something to enjoy in my retirement. They have really interesting trips to that they coordinate to different places. I would say a great way to see our beautiful country and explore in old fashion style.

Always love going in their trips to the...

Stopped by here with Tim on the weekend while on my way to Picton for the mass. We had our Red Rooster BBQ near Paterson river while waiting for our steam train to be serviced. Overall was a good day until I realised this is not Cronulla! Had to hope on the next train but it wasn’t for 6 hours! What a joke! I bet Alister and Barry were behind this, anyway made it to Nowra 72 hours later safely… Apparently the train driver was on his 48 hour lunch break, but I’m the...

An amazing collection of rail motors run by a top-notch group of volunteers. Happy to answer any questions we had and show us around the Paterson facility. We rode on the rail motor between Dungog and Paterson (and on a previous visit went down to Maitland and back) The museum collection has some great memorabilia too. If you get the opportunity to visit, I would highly recommend dropping by. Make sure you check their Facebook for opening days.
