This place is an absolute cracker, we went in a day that they were absolutely slammed and were out on the lawn enjoying the live music and a couple wines, we really wanted to have the amazing Italian anchovies they import served with their fresh bread and even though they were absolutely jammed popped us on a table for some quick cheeky anchovies. They also had roped in one of the family members (I think) a young super nice fella who’s job seemed to be making sure that everyone (looked like 200 odd people) had plenty of water on what was a super hot day. Good business/RSA & old fashioned hospitality. If I could make one suggestion (and don’t know if there are any OH&S issues etc) but if the catchments are full then the kids would go wild for some sprinklers on the hotter days. 100%...

Ringer Reef Winery is a must!

We were lucky enough to get in before the crowds on a beautiful Sunday. It may have been a colder weekend, but the cellar door was vibrant and warm, and the wines were even better. Mark ran us through the history of the winery and the wines they produce, where on the property each wine is grown, and plenty of information on different flavour profiles of each wine we tasted.

Personal favourites of mine were the sparkling Pino Chardonnay, the NV sparkling Merlot, and the Nebbiolo.

If you’re in the area, do not miss the opportunity to pop in and check out the wines and local produce they offer.

We ended up leaving with plenty of different wines to get through before our next visit.

We will...

40deg day & we pop in here after visiting a couple of other wineries... we order some wine & proceed to sit down indoors as it’s stifling HOT outside.....1 min later staff come over to tell us that we can’t sit inside as it’s only for wine tasting!! We look around & they’d be 8 people in here !! In a space that would accommodate 40+ very comfortably. So we sat outside in the stinking heat to finish our drinks & bought absolutely zero ....terrible management decisions that really you wouldn’t ask a dog to do ! Safe to say we won’t be back, but hopefully management see...

Set against a gorgeous backdrop of mountains, vineyard, lawn and trees all showing off autumn foliage it was a lovely outdoor setting venue for a lunch. Ordered the anchovies which were really tasty and surprisingly not very salty and tasty bread; as well as the grazing platter which was bountiful with various cheeses, seeded crackers, meats, fruit and nuts - all very tasty! Only comment would be the platter could’ve done with some sort of dip as the offering overall was on the dry side. Wines by the glass or a selection of 3-4 of your choice which was nice. Worth a visit.

Staff were very hospitable and found a place for us even without a booking. We shared a delicious bottle of montepulciano then tried a few other red wines such as the nebiolo- all were delicious and really something special. We also shared a grazing board which had some extremely tasty cheeses. I highly recommend making a booking to do the full tasting indoors. It was a bit cooler/ windy in the outside area so perhaps outdoor heaters would be a good idea in future.

Simply cannot speak highly enough of the Holm family who own this winery. My wife and I have been coming here over 10 years. The wines have developed considerably in that time, and are now amongst our favourites. They always manage something different with the varieties they cultivate. Even when you order online, you still get a personal touch. The beautiful views from their property is just the icing on the cake!
