Camel Ride — Attraction in Port Macquarie

This was truly one of the best experiences of our trip! Riding camels along the beautiful beach was such a cool experience — the views were stunning and it felt so special. Dave was absolutely lovely to deal with, and a fantastic entertainer who made the whole activity even more enjoyable. He walked alongside us during the ride, kept the kids laughing with his jokes, and happily took photos for us along the way. It’s a very kid-friendly activity, and my children absolutely loved it. $40 (make sure you bring cash) is quite a bit but I think it ended up being worth it. There's no commentary or guided tour- just a cool camel ride with good views of the beach and ocean. A nice, simple experience topped off with some really superbly shot photos that the staff offer to take for you- definitely a must do activity if you're visiting Port Macquirie IMO.

P.S. I'd recommend going in the morning just after they open- cooler temperatures in summer, better...

Please note that this place requires you to book by visiting the beach. A timeslot will be allocated to you to come at a later time such as if you go to book at 8am, your time slot will be in the afternoon. So make sure only one person goes for booking rather than wasting time. The owner should clearly put these instructions on their website to avoid disappointment such as we faced. Also note that they never answer the phone which is on the website. Anyways...
