Cylinder Beach — Attraction in Queensland

A great beach, easy access from the car park, acres of flat sand and patrolled by Surf Life Savers. Great fun in the surf in clear, shallow water.

Needless to say there is no shade on the beach so a sunshade of some description is a must if you intend to stay for longer than just a quick dip.

There are showers and foot sprays on the grass areas by the side of the car park, after you leave the beach.

Calm, patrolled beach at Point Lookout, North Stradbroke. Good for the family. If you don't have a car you can take the local bus. Truly one of my favourites! Manta Lodge, located near at Home beach, offers scuba diving and snorkling trips to one of the small islands just offshore. Very calm, relaxing beach. Perfect white sand and no buildings on site. Stradbroke is one of the truly best parts of QLD and rather unrealised.

This beach is one of the nicer ones and with camping just off the beach and no need to clean off the 4x4 after a sand drive is amazing.
