Parker Point — Attraction in Rottnest Island

Visiting from Bali, I chose to explore Rottnest using the Island Explorer shuttle bus (AUD 30 per person) since I wanted to avoid too much sun exposure — a common concern for many Asian tourists like me 😁

Parker Point was my first stop, and it did not disappoint! The view from the lookout is simply breathtaking, with turquoise waters and scenic boats dotting the coastline. If you're not planning to swim, you can just stay on the wooden deck, take in the view, and snap a few photos. But I definitely recommend taking the stairs down to the shoreline. It's perfectly safe, and the fresh ocean breeze is worth it.

The beach area is quite rocky and not very wide, so I guess it’s not ideal for sunbathing. However, the water is crystal clear, the sand is soft, and it’s a fantastic spot for snorkeling and swimming. Truly a beautiful place, and a must-visit stop if you're going around...

Picnic here, on the beach during our bike tour was a good choice. Afyer the half hour ferry ride from Freo, we quickly collected our bikes and headed out of the Settlement toward the left followed the coast stopping regularly to admire and photograph quokkas and the scenery.
