Gemfields Fossicking Park — Attraction in Sapphire Central

We’re from Victoria and had been planning our visit to the Gemfields area for ages, and it was absolutely worth the wait! The family who runs the Gemfields Fossicking Park is so lovely, friendly, and super helpful. They gave us all the tips and advice we needed, and their enthusiasm for fossicking made the experience even better. The price for a bucket of dirt was great value, and we couldn’t believe our luck – the three of us found loads of sapphires and zircons! The highlight was a yellow sapphire that’s big enough to facet, along with a few other stones that are also large enough facet. Everyone we met in the area was so welcoming and helpful, which made the whole trip even more enjoyable. Jake and his family are so helpful , patient and welcoming we had such a good time fossicking for gems.

They have such a great set up , everything is clean and organised and its also so peaceful there . Such a wonderful experience.

The Family that run this goes above and beyond and have a great passion and knowledge for fossicking which they love to share .

We went to few places in the gemfields for fossickling but this was by far the best value and experience as not only did we find a few treasures but we had a such good time and felt so welcomed .

This was the most interesting, fun and educational activity I participated in while staying nearby in Emerald, the owner was very helpful and super knowledgeable about all sorts of things regarding many types of gems, a breath of fresh air coming from someone as young as he is, it's not often I enjoy anything educational but he was able to keep it interesting with his friendly and welcoming personality. Definitely recommend visiting the gemfields over theyre neighbours Pat's gems as I learnt much more about the gems I was fossicking for with the one on one support. P.s.
