I am a close friend with the owners of Denmark Thrills Adventure Park. There is nothing like it in the Southern Hemisphere. Most parks consist of metal and plastic. Denmark Thrills offers a lovely experience being amongst the nature of huge Karri trees and some undergrowth. Most activities utilise the trees in some way. They have 6 gigantic rope swings as the lower branches are at least 15 metres up. There are rope bridges and cargo nets between the trees, to climb. Three Karri trees have rope wrapped around them so you can have the experience of climbing up between the trees safely, without a harness. They also have an awesome 60m flying fox. I personally find all these activities fun.
They also have a bunch of inflatable balls you can climb into and bump up against each other safely. The shorter of 2 zorb runs is now active. It is about 150m long and is quite fast. More weight = more speed. Its a joy for adults also as they can enjoy some of the activities. But to be honest, as a parent, just watching children have a great time is a blessing in itself. And these days, when you talk about playgrounds, its all about connecting with nature. O and how could I forget that you can climb a Karri tree to about 15 m using safety gear and you can also free climb up the sea containers to a safe height using the attached artificial hand holds.
For $10 per person, to stay as long as you want, its a bloody...
Read moreReally fun!!! We certainly laughed A LOT!!! We did the dynamic duo combo and am glad we did 2 runs as they are fairly short. The longer run was about 2 minutes.
The weather was cold but the water in the ball was delightfully warm.
You get driven back up the hill, so that is a nice service. 🚗
If you want to go faster inside, wear a sports material quick dry type top and short. You need shorts 🩳 and shirt 👕 to ride.
Goggles and go pro are provided free if you want to borrow. They also have spare clothes and towels to use in the ball.
Definitely book online or by phone ahead of time.
There are toilets you can change in. They are clean :) Plenty of parking available and pretty views from the top.
You also have the luxury of a hot drink after your rides :) A great addition!
My only consideration was price. I feel like it could be cheaper especially considering the short time you are in the ball. Cost would definitely hinder when my next experience would be.
Otherwise, the staff were lovely and it was a great...
Read moreThis experience was the highlight of our 4-days in Denmark, can be broken down into three parts:
Globeriding/Zorbing - Love it or hate it, it's an experience unlike any other. I absolutely loved it and can't wait to brave the longer ride next time! Mind-blowing that this is the only place in Australia to experience this, and that it can be located in one of the most beautiful and out-of-the-way paradises in the country.
Scenery - Absolutely majestic, there are few places in WA that have such expensive forests, green rolling hills and mountains in clear view. It would be worth visiting just for the sights.
Hosts - We were completely humbled by how friendly and personable Matt and Amelia were. We spent at least half an hour chatting about all sorts of things after the ride, and when we left it felt like we were leaving good friends. It's rare that such a successful business could have hosts that are still so warm and connected as Matt and Amelia are.
Can't wait...
