Nice beach for fishing, swimming on shallow water only when the waves are not to strong or high and if you have kids keep your eyes on them because sometimes the current is very strong and there is no lifeguard . From my experience as a fisherman, I've caught too many sharks and stingrays on surf fishing ... and if you see the waves coming faster between each wave it means it's very dangerous for swimming. Maybe it'll be good for surfers because of the big waves but they still need to be careful. Walking from the parking to the beach is not that long, just watch around from snakes or spiders... I've been twice and I didnt see anything.... its just for your saftey. If you want to fish at night, the gate closes at 10pm and it will be open at 6am... No shower or water in the parking at all. Have a fun and safe holiday everyone! 😊

Nestled in the Tomaree national park in Port Stevens in NSW is one of the most beautiful beaches that you will ever see. Box Beach is a very unique place and the wave is very unusual, as it bounces off the northern end of the beach and creates a wedge, that is only suited towards experienced surfers and bodyboarders. When you’re sitting in the lineup you can’t see anything apart from nature. Always show respect for the locals and make sure you take your rubbish with you off the beach as it is a national park.

A lovely little beach BUT it is not patrolled. The water gets deep very quickly and there is a shore break. If your kids are swimming here keep a very close eye on them. They can be knocked off their feet and dragged out of their depth in an instant. If the tide and swell are right the interaction between the backwash off the cliffs at the northern end interact with the incoming swell to make interesting peaks.

Nice beach, easy to get to and plenty of parking. A bit of everything for everyone, decent beginners waves, fair amount of shallows, some rock fishing opportunities and lots of clean sand for sun bathing. Mainly just disappointed with the local racism in form of graffiti on the rocks ("Locals Only") and on the signage in the carpark. Sad to see simple minded people exist in this lovely community, alas education must have been too difficult for...
