Great lake and scenery provides an escape from the hustle and bustle of Liverpool. Who would have thought such a place exists in Liverpool?

Only issue is that the place is severely neglected by the council.

Litter and rubbish is strewn across the area, everywhere you walk! Benches and facilities are not maintained. Grass is uncut. The place looks to be deteriorating.

High powered jet ski noise permeates the air.

There's no walking pathways across the lake.

Now how about the water quality? Is it safe to swim? Why are there no life guards present?

Big and beautiful lake but not much else. The majority of the lake is not visible from the shore line due to trees. There is a small beach. A long walking/running/biking track, a small play area for the kids, outdoor gym set. Among the track there's playing field, picnic tables, benches. didn't find a public toilets. There's also a boat shed for the local sailing club. Overall, very underwhelming area unless you have a boat or water craft, which would be more fun and interesting. I would come here again for a...
