The walk to Grotto Point Lighthouse from Clontarf Reserve is delightful . I did this walk on a hot summers day in February 2019. It's a casual two hour return walk. With many pretty harbour scenes and wild flowers . But you do need to be energetic and wearing good quality walking boots or runners & take a bottle of water . Do not underestimate this track as it is rough in places . I saw one person trip over a rock and sprain their ankle . There is no sign designating the track which leads down to the Lighthouse. I used my Google Maps GPS to guide me. It's a narrow lonely track and quite steep for the last 50 metres down to Grotto Point. The main track from Clontarf Reserve to Manly is extremely popular on weekends with at least 500 people doing the walk while I was there. So if you are a slow walker move to the side and let the faster move past. If you do this walk after heavy rainfall you will see the creeks and waterfalls flowing , making it extra special. The walk is not suitable for old and infirm nor...

If wet it could be difficult. Bush and trees will likely scrape your legs. A much quieter track with enough points of interest to make...

After a good 20 min up and down in bush you get to this spot which doesn’t worth it at all. There is no view or a place to chill and getting ready to go back. Absolute bummer. The fence around light house is also locked so you can’t even get...
