Washaway Beach is a nudist beach that offers exceptional views out Sydney Harbour directly east. It is called Washaway Beach because it periodically loses all of its sand. This typically happens when there is an east coast low and strong easterly waves and currents strip the beach of its sand. There is a path to arrive to it that it’s slightly tough at some points but with good shoes should be enough ( I was actually in flip flops) and at the very end you need to climb an easy wall ( at least in the walk I know ). At high tide the beach is covered in water, and when it is, its amazing. One of the best lookouts in the Sydney region. At low tide it's a beautiful beach surrounded by vibrant bushland, so make sure to visit before it washes away permanently as sea levels rise.
