It’s great to have an area of native Bush and wildflowers so close to urban Sydney. The visitor centre has a map and advice as well as a small variety of little gifts you can buy. There is a plant nursery attached too and prices were very reasonable when we visited. Entry is free. I did not think we would see many wildflowers in the start of winter, but we did. The garden offers a variety of walks. My powered wheelchair managed the Senses Garden well and it is well worth the time strolling, enjoying, listening for and seeing the birds flit overhead. There are accessible toilets just before and a picnic area with a bbq and water tap. I do not recommend a manual wheelchair unless you have someone very fit to push you. The ground is not flat and the path is not wide. Even this section would be too much for anyone chronically ill, frail or elderly to manage the whole area. There are occasional seats along the track for a rest. If you can manage the Lookout off the track it’s pleasant, but funnily enough, the many trees block of wider, more distant view. We also tried out the Solander Trail. It is a 2 km long, wide bitumen road. Even with my powered wheelchair we had many problems with the very steep gradients and several times my support worker and husband had to help out buy pushing. The power chair could not cope with the slope. Next time we will head clockwise down the road for a short way before it becomes very steep, then head back. It is possible to drive to the other car parks and enter one of the picnic areas this way. There are other trails, areas and picnic spots available for more abled bodied people.

A great place to spend several hours hiking, walking, bird-watching, picnicking, learning, and more. Trails are clearly laid out with accurate distances and times to complete. Easy to follow. It was a busy day when we were there, but at times on our hike, we felt alone in a large peaceful green and remote environment. Privileged to see a group of yellow-tailed black cockatoos, a pair of king parrots, and other birds. A large section of the trails in this reserve/garden are tarred, making them wheelchair friendly. Also ideal for school excursions and children's parties

Feels like your neighbourhood bush walks. Easy bushtrails, the visitor centre has a snake and two lizards which is cool. Walked to Lamberts clearing which had a small rocky garden which was just okay, not many flowers. The pond is covered in weeds so looks pretty lame. The playgrounds a bit outdated. But overall okay if youre in the neighbourhood and dont have high expectations. Also there is an event venue you can rent which is quite nice if you like nature. P Uploaded maps of the bush walk sites.

This is an amazing council managed reserve that apparently not many people are aware of - as I wasn't until I stumbled across it. It's FREE and open 7 days per week. There are a number of different kinds of walks for all ages/fitness abilities. There are also 4 separate BBQ areas, a children's playground, picnic areas, a function centre (for hire), pond area and well kept native gardens. They have a Visitor's Centre too which sells a few snack and cold drinks. I was told by the young lady working in the Visitor's Centre, that there are plans to sell coffee in the future. They also have a good array of giftware such a Bush Tucker and handmade items by local artists. They have a small nursery out the back of the Visitor's Centre which stocks an array of Australian Native plants. From the signage and brochures around the place, they also have a number of programmes that run weekly, as well as, special events such as live music. I recommend...

This is a superb place to take little kids. Our 1 year old loved touching all the leaves as we walked along the paths. Our 3 year was convinced there were dinosaurs around every corner. The path came out of the bush into a lovely manicured play area.

There was a Goanna there who we observed quietly until he was chased away by a bush turkey. The bush turkey would flick bark and leaves at the Goanna and then try and nip his tail as he hissed and sulked away... The kids loved it.

Then they had a good play on the swings and slippery dip set there. After that we headed up to the shop and had some ice blocks. It's a great afternoon highly...
