I love this place, so it’s really hard for me to give 1 star. It’s incredibly obvious that no clean has been done since the terrestrial down pour last weekend. Of course it’s been a week so I can understand it couldn’t be all cleaned but it’s absolutely disgusting. The smell from the rotting seaweed was incredibly overwhelming. I hate giving a low review, it’s not my style but it was incredibly saddening to see it this way. Unfortunately as well, due to all the dying seaweed and the moisture it holds this is now sandfly heaven. Something I haven’t had a issue with here before. Please council someone clean this beach!! Let me know and I’ll come help, but please please try to fix it 😓

For years, Kurnell's dog friendly beach has been our family's treasured tradition. It's a place that never disappoints. Our dog, Hunter, adores it here. The off leash area lets him run free. Responsible pet owners keep it clean for everyone's enjoyment. Shallow waters for safe play, sandy fun, and lots of fishing. Year after year, it's been our go to for casting lines from shore and catching our dinner. We wholeheartedly recommend this beach. It's a place where memories are made, and Hunter's joy is infectious. ⛱️🐾🎣

Not clearly marked as a dog beach. Consequently get people who don't like dogs going there. Plus people fishing off the beach which can be dangerous for dogs. The noise of the planes overhead put some dogs off the beach. Weekends there are always Jet Ski's being hired out which frighten some dogs and the beach can be swamped with dogs and people. Kite surfers also use the beach even though they are not allowed. Having said that during the week in non holiday times it is great to take the dogs to.
