A very pretty spot to visit. We were last here in January and enjoyed it thoroughly, however our winter visit was so much more refreshing. The quantity of ferns, and the lushness of the foliage, was so much more beautiful than in summer. The valley is easily viewed in both directions from the top of the bridge however if you can manage the stairs it's very satisfying to immerse yourself into the environment from under the bridge. The winfing path down doesnt have a handrsil however the stone stairs are wuite dolud. I recommend venturing down if you are sure of your footing. The volume of water under the bridge...

This is a charming little convict made bridge. It's just about 200 years old, and looks pretty good, not a day over 100…! 😁 I walked down the creek and explored the rainforest pools along the way. The fallen trees have extensive moss build up. That also appears to retain enough moisture for mushrooms to spring up. Caution... For those who don't mind rocky, slippery and challenging walks... This is for you! Floods push up great piles of trees and branches at various points, indicators of flash flooding. So... Tree ferns, mossy rocks and rock pools are some of the delights...

A beautiful historic sandstone bridge, only a short drive off the Great Western Hwy at Blaxland. There’s a small car park next to the bridge and you can walk across & down some stairs to have a look under the bridge and the creek that trickles through. Such a great place to explore! The steps down are an easy walk. We got caught out tho as the exit says one way so we had to go back down the mountain to Emu Heights then double back to the Highway! A lovely peaceful stop tho, highly...

Lennox Bridge, opened in 1833, is the oldest surviving stone arch bridge on the Australian mainland. The bridge received a Historic Engineering Marker from Engineers Australia as part of its Engineering Heritage Recognition Program. It crosses Brookside Creek (also known as Lapstone Creek) on the road known as Mitchell's Pass. Easy access with plenty of car parks. Highly recommended.
