We did the loop on a Sunday, starting from Riverside Walk Drive (entrance that is right next to De Burghs Cycleway) and walked all the way down to Carter's Creek picnic area and continued. Due to rain, the fish ladder was flooded and broken and so much water was flowing across. We then went onto Delhi Road and onto Lady Game Drive and entered Max Allen Drive and had lunch at the Cafe. Then we entered Bradfiled Trail and to Lane Cove Valley Walk which we followed all the way to De Burghs Bridge. Due to rain, there was one part of the track where there was a waterfall which you HAVE to go past below (which was the fun-est part of the walk imo haha!) and also just past this point, where the rive flows across the path was blocked by fast flowing water. We managed to go past it by crossing on the rocks carefully. Lots of wildlife around too! Tldr: I loved the walk! Just be warned that due to rain the track is flooded in some areas and I highly suggest you wear waterproof shoes if it had rained previously.

The Riverside Walking Trail at Lane Cove National Park offers a scenic and moderately challenging hike, taking about 2-3 hours to complete. The trail starts with well-maintained, man-made paths, but as you progress, it becomes more natural with rocky and uneven surfaces. Towards the end, the trail gets steeper, with some sections featuring stairs, making it more physically demanding. Along the way, there are plenty of picnic areas and BBQ spots, perfect for a rest or a snack. There are also restroom facilities located throughout the trail, so there's no need to worry about that. There are also lots of flora and fauna for you to see on the track - birds, lizards, eucalyptus trees. Overall, it’s a great option for those looking for a pleasant yet slightly challenging walk.

Beautiful walking track. Really easy, about 5.5km if you start near Riverview Drive. It gets rocky in a few places, but overall, it is an enjoyable and gorgeous walk. Saw some wildlife, heard some native birds, and had some beautiful sunshine and breezes along the way. Shared that about a month ago, went back recently and was almost hit by a bike rider on a walking trail. Bikes are NOT permitted on walking trails, but be sure to keep your wits about you. I did see more wildlife today, including an echidna at the park entry and lots of lizards.
