Sugarloaf Ridge is unique due to its elevated knoll connecting a great walk to and from the picnic areas overlooking expansive views of Western Sydney. Features of Sugarloaf Ridge include:
BBQ's - there are no electric BBQs located at this picnic ground. Visitors are welcome to bring their own portable gas BBQs. The use of heat bead or coal BBQs are not permitted at this location.
During a 'TOTAL FIRE BAN' gas BBQs are not permitted to be used.

Picnic Shelters - there are a small number of picnic shelters and picnic benches located throughout the picnic ground. These are left open for people to use free of charge on a first come first serve basis and are ideal for smaller family gatherings.

Read moreIt says that it’s open 24 hrs so me and friends decided to go for sunrise. After all aren’t sunrises most beautiful part of the day. But guess what?? We arrived at 6:20 for a 6:37 am sunrise but gates were locked. Security personnel from the equestrian centre next door, although a bit rudely, told us that the gates open at 7am. So we thought we will park the car nearby and walk to the lookout point but it’s almost 2kms walk and half of us gave up half way through and rest, by the time they got there sun was already up and about. Bad bad experience. It will be great if opening hours were at the minimum correctly mentioned so we didn’t waste our time coming out. I am giving 2 stars only because it was still peaceful inside else this experience deserved nothing more than 1 star. Never going...

With the availability of public toilets/ water taps near toilet.. The existence of trail paths some accessible by foot only others via bike riding/walking...its great for bush walking & exploring the reserve as its actually quite large to do all on foot... the only let down is that parking is a 10 min walk up the road from...
