It's a cute, reasonably quiet area that I've been coming to ever since I moved into the area 20yrs ago. Definitely more user friendly now compared to when the dam was empty (though I remember it was pretty fun riding my bike through the empty dam and over makeshift jumps people had made). There's plenty of spots to sit, cute little garden beds, a small playground for young children, a lookout to see over the dam, and access to fresh water for people and pets.

The paths around the pond are paved and the small play structures for the kids are in great condition.
