I was not sure what to expect, people told me the Three Capes Track accomodation was good, but Surveyors on the first day was a real surprise. First, the hub, bunkhouses and facilites are large, spacious and well planned. No sense at all of overcrowding with plenty of options to either join in with fellow hikers or chill out on your own. Magic view from hub deck looking west to Cape Raoul. Double bunks are sturdy, with large thick mattresses, plenty of space to store gear and hang things up. Multiple cook tops in the kitchens, all utensils provided with exception of knives and scissors. The hub also includes books, games, and the ranger gives a briefing around dinner time outlining what to expect the next day. Toilets are in a separate building, so some walking between bunk room and toilets/ wash basins.
