Have you heard of Bicheno? Information below 👇 Australia bucketlist item 10/100 📍 Diamond Island, off Bicheno Tasmania. ✨️ One of our favourite places in Tassie, theres an airbnb you can book which is directly out the front of Diamond island! Walk to this island during LOW TIDE ONLY! Unless you want to swim back. 🏊‍♀️ like we nearly did haha. For some rockpool hopping, or just for the adventures of the walk across the sand bank. 🏄‍♀️ 🌊 🏄‍♂️ You can surf at Redbill beach too. Watch for the penguins at night! 🐧 🐧 🐧 they come running into their homes where their babies await after their parents have fished all day. Other sites nearby: 🌞 Freycinet National Park 🍷 Coles Bay and Wineglass Bay ☕️ Bicheno in general 🥰 fish and chips and awesome coffee there. Go to the communal garden! 💨 Bicheno blowhole Up north is Binalong Bay and the free camping at the Bay of Fires. Highly recommend a few days spent there too 🔥 I know we shared this before but it had to go on the list! 🤩 What other islands can you walk to? . . . #diamondisland #australiabucketlist #bucketlist #islandyoucanwalkto #tasmania #visittassie #bicheno #visittasmania #australianislands

This is my second time have been here. Very nice, amazing and peaceful beach with fire rocks (red rocks), where is located at southern spot of the beach. If you live nearby here, I recommend you come this beach to enjoy sunset moment, walking along the beach - I am sharing lots photos of sunset time. Also, highly recommend to see the sunrise coming out from the ocean - I also have some beautiful photos to share here. Very easy to park and stand on the fire rocks, this is a perfect spot to enjoy the beginning of the day, and say Halo to the sun!!! Just to let everyone know this is a hidden place to have a see penguins going home every evening...Please be quiet and be friendly.

This beach is so lovely, the sand is powder fine and makes squeaking noises under your feet. The water is nice and clear, there’s a lot of rock pools to explore and I have seen fairy penguins here. You can walk across to Diamond Island when the tide is low. When I was little I used to body board in the freezing water. I recommend to wear a thick wetsuit if you plan to take a dip.

This is a little piece of paradise. I'm here in mid January with high 20's during the day. The water is inviting as is the white sand beach, what a great place to laze away the day... Late afternoon is a good time to go for a walk; just on dusk the mutton birds return to their burrows making quite a special event and a little after dark penguins storm the beach... Well they waddle. Great to...

Tourists pay attention. Went to beach tonight to view penguins. Unfortunately the locals thought it was acceptable to walk dogs (on and off lead), jog and walk the beach (talking on a mobile) after dusk when the penguins come out. So we left after over an hour. No penguins, surprise!!Locals kept on coming. Beautiful beach during the day apart from the dog droppings. Thanks...
