This place is absolutely incredible and should be on everyone's bucket list of rides in Oz!!!! Hats off to the trail builders. Starting out through the forest is a great green (dark green) loop and a lot of fun. From there the blue loop out to the stormsdown (black) loop is a nice pedal. Stormsdown is where it gets serious, it's a great testing advanced trail which gets tougher towards the top. Has some of the best constant views ever! Watch out as on the way down it's typically loose but still fun. When you're down you have a big pedal back out but the forest descent will make you forget the pain in your legs ;) As an alternative start, you can cut out most of the green loop by starting at the powerline trail just off trail harbour Rd (small ~50m pinch climb to start of blue loop). Total loop is about 38ks and middle section has limited Telstra reception.

Oh my, oh my. I thought I was going to die! Four times! We had fun. The best part was knowing at the end that we survived! We did the Despatch and Oonah Hill trails. It says "Easy" and 30-60 mins, but there were some really tough bits. We took 1hr 40 minutes, with lots of stops. The amount of gravel, on the higher altitude portions, out of the bush, made for hard work staying upright on tge downhill bits. Great planning to have soft grasses, or shrubs adjacent to the trail, as it helps for a soft fall. There also needs to be a couple of sign posts in the middle of Despatch before you reach the service road and "Short Loop", as we were questioning if we were off track and Google Maps didn't help. These two "Easy" MTB trails are for experienced riders, which were are not.

Absolutely one of the best MTB trails in Australia not just Tasmania. I totally loved it. I only did the green and blue trails for 21km but I worked those km’s for sure with 660m of climbing. I’m 62 and still rock a non e-bike and was pretty proud of my efforts today. Fantastic trails, sort of shale but solid in the corners with great berms. The big downhill was epic, challenging and exciting. There’s another loop to do but that was beyond me and takes you up the mountain. E-bike territory I think. I had great weather today but you need to keep an eye on it as it’s remote stuff. An easy 5 stars, I can’t believe more people don’t do these trails
