Battery Hill Gold Mining & Heritage Centre — Attraction in Tennant Creek

We visited the underground mine (we did not take the other tour) and found it very interesting. However, just know that this mine isn't a real mine, it is a replica built for instructional & training purposes, and the person leading the tour, while knowledgeable and fun, had never worked or been into a real mine. What a wonderful place. The social history museum was amazing. Lots to read and see. The underground mine tour was the best. Karl really knows his stuff. The McLaughlin Mineral collection is world class. Amazing specimens from all over the world. Finished off with the Albert Borella VC MM exhibit. Fascinating reading and pictures. Thanks to David, Rhiannon and Karl for all their help and friendlyness. Was there for 4 hours....
