Martijn was an exceptional host who we believe will change tourism in Tennant Creek single handedly!! We were passing through and stopped to have lunch in their carpark, a spacious area with trees, the old mine, old machinery and of course the visitor centre. He was so engaging and knowledgeable about the area making everything so interesting and exciting. We could not believe it!! Not what we expected but it just goes to show, enthusiasm and passion are contagious. We were the only ones there and spent over an hour and a half yarning .... us apologiseing for asking so many questions and Martijn reminding us, that we were his job!! We even learnt a bit about each other's lives. We would have loved to have done his mine tour but it was closed due to some water inside it. Martijn, you are an absolute champion. You gave us so many historical insights and an experience of Tennant Creek that was so positive, fun and informative. Thank you...

My partner tried to buy some books from the "gift shop" but struggled to get him to serve her. Finally she distracted him from his erstwhile research with mono-syllablic answers to her enquiries. We went to the Telegraph Station after our visit to the V.I.C. and were informed we could get the key from the visitor centre to look through it. This was never mentioned by the centre nor anything about other attractions around the town. I can only assume there are none. This is really poor...
Read moreNice location and have everything a visitor needs to know about the town and central Australia. I liked the way the attraction brochure are set according to Katherine Alice and Uluru. I was in Alice and didn't know they were so many places I could have visited. We got some maps and feedback on questions asked by a 4 year old. He loved the place and investigated each section of the musuem with all what and why question.
