Found this little gem on the way to Coffs Harbour. We initially thought it was just a small shop selling honey, but it was much more than that! Behind the shop, they have an open area which has a live beehive display, plant nursery and small exhibit with interesting facts about different types of bees and the honey making process. There were also clean toilet facilities. While inside the shop, we had the chance to do a honey tasting session (like wine tasting but for honey!), in which we got to try different types of honey and briefed on how each of them was sourced and produced. It was highly informative and helped us to appreciate all the hard work put in to produce honey. Not to mention that the honeycomb ice cream we bought on the way out was one of the best we’ve tried. All in all a great experience!

The Honey Place is a hidden gem 🐝🍯 just a short 35-minute drive from the Big Banana! If you're anywhere near the area, it's absolutely worth a visit. It’s a cool and educational spot where you can learn all about how bees make honey 🐝 — perfect for kids and adults alike. They have a special room with a big screen 🎥 that clearly explains the entire honey-making process, which is both fun and fascinating. The entrance gate is awesome and sets the tone for a unique experience right from the start 🏡. Don’t miss out on their honey-based ice cream 🍦 — it’s creamy, refreshing, and full of flavour! You can also taste a range of honey varieties for free 🍯🧁, and the staff are super lovely and welcoming 💛. A sweet stop for a relaxed, informative, and tasty little adventure! Highly recommended.

25th June afternoon arrived at the honey place, had just spent a beautiful day at the butter factory and bellingen, Arrived at the entrance and asked could I bring my little dog in, in his enclosed pram, The response was OH NO NO NO, in a uppity voice..I said it's okay my husband will look after him outside..I approached her, and said in co versatation, I've been to the old butter factory and bellingen and your the only place that wouldn't allow us to bring him in..with that, she gose OH I DONT BELIEVE THAT..I said it's true,,she gose again well I don't believe it..calling me a lire..I then approached the honey. I was there to buy creamed honey..she said something else in her posh uninviting voice..I turned and said..why don't you want me in your shop..I walked out and said I want be back..never should anyone be talked down to..I ask where ever we go with our little dog..yes if they say sorry no..it's OK.. but when it's like she said.. it's not called for. And I want be back..we bought our honey in Woolgoolga , beautiful man..worst approach by shop assistant ever in...

What a great place to stop in Urunga. We stopped here July 2023. The owners are welcoming and have a lot of years making honey. They have a beehive you can view and watch the bees working and see the Queen Bee wondering around her hive. We were lucky to have a chat and got some great information on the bees. It is good to find out what actually goes into making your jar of honey. It is not that easy. Then go into the shop and drool over the selection of honey. We got the Coffs Coast Flora and it is genuinely the nicest honey we have both had. I am sure the other types on sale are equally as nice. Sadly, it was not possible to buy it all!!! We also got some choc honeycomb. That didn't last long. I would recommend making the time to stop and support such a great business. Thanks The...
