I moved here with my husband in 2017. It was such a peaceful neighbourhood back then. It is now occupied by loud and reckless neighbours and roaring cars and motorbikes driving up and down Duncans and Quay Boulevard all day and late hours of the night. The cops have been down here more frequently in the past year compared to other years. I left my car outside ONCE and someone stole the antenna. Do the cameras in this community even work? We paid extra just to have a balcony which we can't even use because of the dust in the area. Imagine hosing down the balcony twice a week. Had to buy a dryer because we couldn't hang our clothes outside because of the dust too. Overpriced for what it is, managed to snatch up a better place with a view of the water in Docklands for a fraction of the price of what you would get in Wyndham Harbour. Sad to have left this area as this is where we planned to raise our future kids but its definitely not what it use to be. Cheaper apartments available now meaning more young and inconsiderate people can move to the area. Would not recommend buying or...
Read moreThe brochure screamed Noosa Heads, in reality it's Lakes Entrance without the fish n' chip shop, hold on, we do have fish and chips now but you won't find it open upon returning from work, it closes at 6! There's no supermarket, but there is a caravan park, you won't find postcards here but there is a bus out of here when you need to escape.
Pop up shops over summer, food trucks and a open air cinema on the lawn at the marina, yay.
No yacht club as promised, and no milk bar for your daily essentials, as a matter of fact it's got very little going for it. If you seek isolation, your sweet, although the wafting of sewerage in the night air is not sweet.
Seriously though, it's all that and more. If you can handle your property devaluation, your car being covered in red dirt each day then this is the place for you. I suggest you keep looking or come back in 5...
Read moreWe have now sailed into Wyndham Harbour 4 times. From SYC it's an easy trip and for us in a Catalina 309 ,takes 2-3 hours. The berths are wide and easy to moor in and the harbour facility excellent. Last time we visited the new Pizza restaurant was open as we had a great meal. We arrived the day the Fish and Chip opened and missed out as they were so popular they runout by the time went, we plan to check it out next visit. There is also a new licensed café which we’ll check out next visit as well. If you just overnight make sure you walk down to the river and feed the Pelicans. We have also bused to the Werribee mansion for a visit and lunch, the zoo is also another place to visit. We are also planning on doing a visit to the vineries on one of our...
