Food is amazing at this place, we love the Goats Cheese and Pork Belly especially.
But. I have never felt so uncomfortable as a result of service staff as I did today. The waitress who served us has decided, for no reason that I can see, that our table was deserving of rude service. The only explanation I can come up with is we took too long to decide what to order? We are a large group (6) and, we admit, indecisive. But we have been polite and patient when waiting for food (had to ask where 2 dishes were when it seemed they had forgotten them). Her attitude was completely appalling, condescending and sarcastic. We wanted to have a nice and relaxing Saturday lunch and drove here especially, but I honestly couldn't wait to leave now because I felt so uncomfortable.

Read moreWhat a beautiful experience we had at Hay Shed Hill Winery and Rustico Resturant. Marina took us through our wine tasting at the Cellar Door, she was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We particularly enjoyed the Pino Nior, but everything was enjoyable. Definately worthwhile for wine lovers. And the degustation menu at Rustico was so thoughtful and flavoursome! Everything was delightful, but we particularly enjoyed the octopus (so delicious and cooked to perfection) and the almond tart (which was decorated with 'Congratulations' for our honeymoon. The grounds are also family and pooch friendly. Thank you very much team. Laura and...
Read moreWe visited Hayshed Hill winery before lunch at Rustico’s for our 10th Anniversary. This is a must if you are a wine drinker so make sure you have an hour or so before lunch. We were warmly greeted by Karine, a charismatic French lady who was not only passionate and knowledgeable but interactive with our 3yr old daughter which we appreciated. Karine was very busy but always knew what wine we needed to try next and never made us feel like it was too much for her to handle. She was very good at guiding us through the range of wines and quickly developed an intuition for what we would enjoy. Definitely worth the $10 for tasting (which you don’t pay if you buy) to sit comfortably at a table and receive great service. Thanks Karine for a great experience, you are an asset to...
