Even if Masters of Wine and other opinion makers tell you that Chardonnay should be banned, it is still one of the best vines for whites. A lot of people tell you that they produce the best Chardonnay ever-ever. Michael Peterkin really does it. We tasted dozens of top rated Chardonnays but this one is just outstanding. A very family feel to the cellar door experience. Unpretentious, and with an infectious and palpable excitement for the wine in equal measure on both sides of the bar. For me, Pierro's namesake Chardonnay is the best example of the Margaret River style and year-in-year-out one of my favorite Australian whites. $70 odd a bottle and a bargain at twice the price....
