This was such a disappointing experience that I had to hold myself down to see it through, hoping I was making too quick a judgement. After visiting a couple of well-known wineries, I decided I wanted to get to know about the wines and wine makers of small family-owned vineyards. Thompson came in highly recommended by James Halliday himself. After calling and making sure, it welcomed visitors, I drove up with my family. I introduced myself to Karen who was at the Cellar Door, and she did not want to shake my outstretched hand Perhaps, it's just Covid-19, I thought.
