I love visiting this winery as they are unpretentious in their approach to wine and are eager to help people learn about their varieties and how their bio dynamic style helps reduce water consumption by 50% while still producing equal or better wines as the vines have to grow longer and search harder for water. Like the old world vines.

We attended a wine tasting experience here with Margaret River Tours, and our host, Bianca, was incredibly informative and knowledgeable. It was fascinating to learn about biodynamic and organic wine-making. We highly recommend this place as a must-visit, especially with the exciting new facility on the way. We’ll definitely be back!

Tried this cellar door restaurant whilst passing through to find this brand new venue open only a few weeks. Service by Tom and Jaclyn was excellent and the food exquisite. Highly recommend their fish of the day with leek, parsley and nut butter, which was delicate and bursting with supple flavours.

Initially, the experience was pretty good coming into the cellar. Steve, who was serving, seemed pretty enthused. I wanted to buy just a few bottles but Steve convinced me to join the Wine Club to save 20% as there was a promotion at that time. I signed up, and left my credit card details with them to charge. However, soon after, I got a credit card charge and invoice from them charging me the FULL price for the six bottle I purchased. Adding insult to injury, they also charged me delivery even though I collected the bottles at their cellar. I have since sent several emails and tried their Facebook site but it has been radio silence. Despite the fancy website, it seems like the service seems non-existence. Considering that I could have spent my money at the other numerous wineries around, this behaviour was a major disappointment....

We visited McHenry Hohnen cellar door on a recent trip to Margaret River. We had the pleasure of being attended to by Caroline who really made the experience memorable. She was very knowledgable about wine generally as well as the wine producer itself. The tasting was extremely flexible and overall we did 7 wines. We were made to feel very comfortable and welcome.

The wines were very good. We enjoyed comparing the 3 chardonnays which Caroline kindly poured at the same time to give us the chance to contrast them. The BDX and Rolling Stone we for us the stand out of the reds we had.

Looking forward to seeing their new location.

Started our Margaret River wineries exploration at McHenry and so glad we did. Clarice was warm, funny and very knowledgeable. I can't comment on the wine since I don't drink, but my wife enjoyed their selection, purchased 3 bottles and will continue to do so. Clarice also explained how the mixed box of wines shipping from the participating wineries worked and provided recommendations of other wineries to visit. Their new cellar door (had only been open for 2 weeks) is excellent. We dined at the restaurant at the end of our time in Margaret River and the food...
