The place? 5 stars. The people visiting? 1 star. Please follow the instructions in the sign. Glow worms are light sensitive. If you use flash and shine your torch on them, they can die. Shine your light straight down to the floor. Use red light whenever possible. Do NOT try to use light to "take a selfie". It needs to be dark for the camera to capture the glow worms. The train station has some blast from the past feels. There is also glow worms inside if you’re lucky. A bit of a different experience but nothing too spectacular that make you speechless.

Read moreMemorable and muddy. Park at the train station, it's a short walk. Make sure you have gumboots and spare shoes and trousers -- it's muddy in there and a number of standing pools that were too deep for an 8 year-old's gumboots. We got about 100m before the pools got too deep. We could see the exit, but there were still plenty of glow.worms.on the ceiling!.
