Great place for a get away from the city, although $15/adult/night can add up. Camp sites are nestled along the creek, under the canopies of large trees. They are well set out and some are quite secluded. Not the place for caravans though. Barbecues, shelters, toilet facilities and large industrial bins for rubbish. Bring your own drinking water. The creek flows from the base of Wellington Dam and is cool to swim in on a hot day. The water leaves your skin feeling very soft and the body invigorated. It is very relaxing to listen to the local bird life. A short drive up to Wellington Dam is well worth the look. The painted mural on the Dam wall is magnificent.

Stunning camping spot to visit over and over. Suits rooftop campers and tents. Not suitable for caravans. We've visited and stayer numerous times in different seasons. Swim camp, bush walk. Wees are packed and can be noisy. So I prefer to go on weekdays. Winter is my favourite if you're rain ready. Have a camp fire and cosy up. Summer is great for a swim and even a snorkel. Fishing is prohibited so please just enjoy the place. There's always one or two idiots who trash the place and spoil it for others. Lots if birds to photograph. All sites must be booked ahead. Phenomenal forest scenery.

H o n e y m o o n P o o l Enjoy the day kayaking or just floating on a tube... the water is shallow enough on certain points to take the camp chairs in and sit there with your feet in the water. Good place for adults and kids to swim. Would recommend not to go during the holidays as this place is a favourite and can get very busy. There are camping grounds nearby. Toilet facilities are available. Stunning bush trails for those interested in taking a walk. Pack a picnic or take meat to make on the gas BBQ that’s available for all to use. Easy to find.
