I was excited to play El Cab for the first time and honestly, it did not disappoint!
El Cabello golf course is surprisingly good! The course layout is actually really fun and quite challenging. Tight fairways, blind tee shots, undulating greens and some water hazards makes sure it’s no walk in the hills! The course maintenance is good for the small team they have which is just made up of local people that love the course. They don’t have much in the way of course facilities but to be honest I like it that way. They just keep it simple with some home cooked food to buy and cheap beers. They have plenty of carts to hire a practice green and driving range. All in all I rate it. Worth the 45-60 minute drive from Perth. It’s nestled in some prime Perth Hills land and if you pick the right day with the weather, you’ll wonder why you didn’t get out...
Read moreTight driving course. Bunkers raked and in good condition. Fairways very dry with lots of run.Tight shots on all fairways. Greens very slow and could of been cut much shorter to enable better struck putts to go in.ie, Bumpy greens..club house very basic but very pleasant service by all staff members..Really enjoyed my day. A very challenging country course off the Blue Tees.. I will be back with a different mind set, ie more irons required off the Blue tees on the back nine..Local knowlege will save you 10 shots per round. Well worth the trip. I will be back, and better...

The course is in pretty good shape and compares well with most public courses. It is wellgrassed and has improved a great deal in the last 12 months or so. From a selfish point of view I hope it doesn't get any busier, however I see it improving all the time and hope those responsible get the rewards from their investment...
