What an absolute gem of a place! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 We had the most magical evening at The Loosefoot on Easter Sunday, and I truly do not have enough words to express how grateful and delighted we are. From the moment we walked in, we were wrapped in a blanket of warmth, friendliness, and genuine community spirit. Although we arrived after the main festivities had finished, the incredible staff and even the patrons still went out of their way to welcome our children and invite them to join in the fun. They had cupcake decorating (complete with little cupcake boxes!), chalk art, bubbles floating in the air, and even bikes for the kids to ride. The environment was not only welcoming, it was heartwarming. Every single person we encountered made us feel like we belonged. It was clear that this was more than just a pub — it was a place that radiated care, joy, and community. As for the food — absolutely lovely! Generous servings, beautifully cooked, and full of flavour. We all left with full bellies and happy hearts. To everyone at The Loosefoot — thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the kindness you showed our family. You created a memory we will truly treasure. 💛 We cannot...
Read moreShe's a pokey little country dive pub tucked behind a servo. Lol. And below a motel.
The entrance has recently been vividly painted. It pops as you approach but inside no so much. There's really nothing special about this hole-in-the-wall besides perhaps that it feels like someone's house and backyard. It's the least the pubs in the Mundaring / Chidlow district.
That's not to say it doesn't pass, is featureless, or lacks a USP. It's does-the-job as a lower end country ruffins. The literally-a-backyard out door area feels like hanging out a mates place as you look over the gum trees and the creek. Good for an arvo beer in the sun. The spacious pool table area under a tin roof is notable; expect no cramped putts with your pals. Last of all there's a big brick fire place out the back that could go alright on a Friday night. Speculation that you might meet some proper country bogans here and that could be fun, dear voyeur. I didn't eat so can't comment on that.
While not a striking or impressive place if you feel like a feed, a pint, a pop in, or a check out, why not? Support a local that people take the...
Read moreCountry-style pub with amazing country-style service! When my family arrived, we were immediately greeted by the owner. She was a jack of all trades! Serving us at the bar for a couple of hours before donning an apron and heading to the kitchen for dinner service. The food was SO delicious and fresh! We had the homemade arancini balls followed by chicken parmi and chicken snitzel. The salad was fresh and the chicken was delicious with a crispy crumb - we were really impressed 👌 all food, including sauces and dressings are freshly prepared on site! Pleasantly surprised with the food quality and freshness for a small semi-rural pub on the side of...
