December 2024:- Back again for lunch. They keep changing things up and it is lovely. Great service!! Lots of smiling helpful "Crew". Menu is amazing. 🥰 *1/2 star off today as the flies were quite bad where we were located. I think communication was a bit lost in my booking. We wanted to be outside undercover, however the more slightly enclosed under coveral area - they didn't appear to be swatting away the little pests every 3 seconds from their meal. Also made it a little difficult to eat. However that didn't really put a damper on our lovely family time lunch. 🍽️ Hope to be back before another year is up with our 93 year old Mum. 💝 ******************************** 2022 I think:- My first time here. My brother and sister in law really liked it, so we went for lunch. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Service was great. 😃 2 of us had the Garden salad with Chicken - delicious. A treasure trove of various greens with Radichio, radish and a lovely vinaigrette. 1 had the Garden Supreme salad with Chicken and my brother the Lamb. All enjoyed the food immensely. Pop outside to the Kombi vans and you can get a wonderfully refreshing Sangria or Spritz (made their way). I had both. 😉 Bring the kids as there is a playground. Bring your pooch too as dog on lead friendly. And as for swings (one pic I didn't get as busy with people on them), there is a very long table outside for you to drink and dine and swing at the same time. 😉 Probably best to book if you would like a table outside (which we didn't do). 📞 Interesting fact (it's a small world), my brother knew the clever fellow who built the Kombi (Mr Ward) with the beer taps on the outside, is from Kalamunda, and would take it to weddings etc. 🌏 Put this lovely place on your next go-to-visit/dine/drink/relax. Also very photographic for you other reviewers and hobbyists.

Visited with family for a tasting and a bite to eat. Our tasting experience was excellent. According to my wife, the sparkly is definitely worth purchasing, and to be honest, the group were appreciative of most of the wines on offer. We purchased a 2023 Backyard Stories Chardonnay. It was excellent. Tasting costs $10pp for a choice of six wines. I was offered a complimentary tasting which was really nice. I declined, but appreciated the sentiment and the warmth of the service staff. It’s a lovely setting and the concept clearly works. As usual business was booming. I think food prices are a little high ($30 for a pizza is a bit rich), but it’s much the same everywhere. The wait time was 30mins + The entire property is powered by generators. Unfortunately it kept going out during our visit resulting in loss of power. The EFTPOS went down meaning we had to pay cash. Luckily one of our party had some on her… They couldn’t process food orders through the app because of the generator failure, which also meant the ordering system (computer) failed. Another example that reinforces my view that cash is king. Old school personal service beats app based ordering every time! A good spot to bring kids as there’s plenty of room for them to run and play. If visiting on a hot day it can get uncomfortable because the cooling isn’t effective. In fact, I’m not sure there is any. I couldn’t see ceiling fans and there was no air conditioning. We sat indoors and sweated through our meal. Not pleasant. Bring a small personal fan, or avoid coming on a really hot day. Overall good, but definitely room for improvement.

Margaret River is a mecca for wine drinkers with Caves Road inundated for winery choices all in close proxcimity to one another. Swings & Roundabouts caters more for social activity with friends and family with wine a most definite secondary aspect. There is a smaller wine tasting area at this venue but the vast vast majority of people here are for the 'weekend' food and a beer or glass of wine. We atteneded on a Sunday and the place was packed, rocking and had a nice relaxed vibe. This venue is very child friendly with massive amounts of play grounds to entertain the kiddies while mum and dad socialise. This place does a rocking pizza thin base with a good selection on the menu delivered to yr table by polite and friendly staff. . Various seating throughout inside, outside, grass and picnic style. This venue is not your typical winery estate but more a social destination and food / beer away from the wineries around the area. From thw huge crown here they hit the mark easily. Lots of free parking and dog friendly. If you have kids in tow, this is the place to aim for after your kids have suffered a couple of winery visits beforehand. Good food. Excellent surrounds. Hapoy to highly recommend

A must visit when you’re in the Margaret river region visiting the renowned wineries! We really loved Swings & Roundabouts, thought it was a lovely winery, with the option to sit indoors, outdoors or on the swings (we sat on the swings— the view was phenomenal!) I really liked how we had the freedom to choose and order what we wanted, compared to some wineries where there’s only the one option of the (usually quite expensive) set menu. That was a bonus, plus the food we ordered tasted great too! We tried the 🍽️Fish Crudo, avocado, macadamia, pickled cucumber, salted lemon, fennel — $26 🍽️4 cheese croquettes with tomato sago — $18 🍽️Boscaiola pizza, mozzarella, porcini, button mushroom, smoked scamorza, truffle oil, parsley — $28 🍷Chenin Blanc '22 — $9 🍷MRB Pink Lemon Lime Bitters — $7 The woodfire pizza tasted great, loaded with cheese and mushroom, the perfect combo 🤩 The croquettes were loaded with distinguished layers of cheese inside and had a perfectly crisp exterior. The fish crudo was quite acidic, but the macadamia nuts added a great textual element to the dish which I think mixed with the other elements, created a really well rounded dish!

The venue itself was lovely, and we enjoyed a leisurely lunch after our tasting. Scott’s recommendations from the menu were spot-on, adding to our wonderful visit. His exceptional customer service extended beyond the cellar door, as he provided us with excellent suggestions for other local spots to explore. Dog+kids friendly. Great seats outside. Amazing that they let dogs indoor which is great for when weather is bad. Wonderful playground on site and beautiful hills scenery. I always saw this venue being recommended and now I know why - it's definitely the type of place where you would want to bring your out of town guests to wow them! We were lucky to visit on a weekday where things were not hectic but we've tried going during school holidays and they said there would be at least 3 hours of wait for the pizza. Make sure to book and try to go early or late in the day! I'm Italian and I really liked the doughy pizza, almost got a second one... We also had the baked camembert and the quinoa salad which we were both great, wish they had more side/non pizza choices as well. Tasty beers but wish they had more non-alcoholic options. Really friendly waiters, especially the Italian guy! We hope to be back soon!
