Alpbacher - Talstation Wiedersbergerhornbahn — Attraction in Alpbach

Great cable car ride on the way to the ski slopes. Easy enough to climb in kitted up with everything except the boots. Beautiful tree line below, left and right. I was here in early April, with a few days of glorious sunshine that let’s you see clear across the village and surrounding areas. It is almost a post card picture perfect place if it weren’t for all the gluhwein sotten nitwits racing each other down the last slope to get to the last bar near the ski shop. I can’t say lm a skier but l would happily revisit the village to travel on the lift again. Taking the weight off your feet, watching everyone else make fools of themselves is quite entertaining. This place has the best Bergstation play area I have seen in the Zillertal area. Cudos to the person who planned it all out. There is water, there are slides of different kinds, a jumping tower, a climbing parcours, and more nested into the mountain. There is plenty of space to sit for parents and there is shade, too. Of course there are restaurants and a beautiful view as well. The panorama walk is doable with kids and features beautiful panorama from all sides of the mountain but the climb to the top of the mountain is quite strenuous unless you are trained. This was a HUGE highlight on our Europe trip this summer. We took the cable car up and down and hearing the cow bells outside was amazing. The mountain was neat and green and over all a sweet experience. The ride on the slide was AWESOME. You got a really fast speed and if you like stuff like it , it is totally worth the price. We took 2 rides on it and could have done more if we have had the time that was how fun it was. And we were 4 adults doing it so it is not just for kids.
