MUSEUM FAHRZEUG-TECHNIK-LUFTFAHRT — Attraction in Bad Ischl

TL;DR: Missed opportunity to show off rare and interesting machines in an interesting way.

It feels like the someone that started this really cared about the technology and history of these machines but then someone else took over who keeps doing it because - hey, free money.

It's 10 bucks for the good smell of military grade oil and paint, some motorcycles. But no historical facts, guides, anecdotes or really anything. They have a nice selection of MIG fighters in the backyard but they are behind a metal fence - might aswell look at pictures on google.

Some really interesting cars (including a Ford GT40) are in the exhibition but without context it's like watching a Top Gear episode without sound.

There are some narrow-gauge tracks and what looks to be an old track lorry in the backyard - i'm pretty sure this could be reworked to be used by children and that would be easily...

The museum has some good items on display like the Ford GT and Alfa Romeo Montréal. Also some firetruck, military vehicles, bikes, and even planes. Inside the museum is okay, but it's just a barn. Such a shame that the aircrafts outside are in a bad shape and sitting there to rot away. We had to pay €12 pp. Which I think it's a little too much for this museum. We Finnished it in less...

Von Außen eigentlich recht unscheinbar, bekommt man sobald man reingeht gleich einmal das Gegenteil bewiesen!

Ein Haufen Geschichte was da drinnen steht! Von Feuerwehr Autos, Militärfahrzeugen, Flugzeugen, Motorrädern, Oldtimern bis hin zu Panzern und Kampfjets gibts alles zu sehen!

Besonders begeistert hat mich der Ford GT40! Sowas sieht man wirklich nicht alle Tage!

Es gibt noch einiges an anderen Gerätschaften wie Zweihandmotorsägen, Motoren in allen Größen und Modellschiffe und -fahrzeuge.

Ich finde es von den Fahrzeugen usw cooler als den Hangar 7, die Halle vom Hangar würde ich ihnen aber wünschen 😁 Aber da müssten wohl ein paar Millionen Budget mehr her. Betreiben tut das ganze ein Verein, ein Zusammenschluss mehrerer Sammler, die alles über den Eintritt von 12€ finanzieren. Das ist für mich als "Unterstützung" völlig okay.

Es ist also für Jung und Alt etwas dabei, für alte Puch/Steyr Enthusiasten, GT40 Fans, Militärfans oder Kinder die mal einen Düsenjet aus der Nähe bestaunen möchten.
