A Family Walk Around Langbathsee – Nature That Fills the Soul

Today, we spent a wonderful day in the heart of the Salzkammergut region, walking around the crystal-clear lakes of Vorderer and Hinterer Langbathsee. Surrounded by the majestic peaks of the Höllengebirge mountains and the fresh scent of pine trees, we enjoyed every step of the journey. Our children explored the trails with joy, while our little poodle Luna happily ran alongside us, as if she too could feel the magic of the place.

The entire loop around both lakes is about 7 kilometers long – perfect for a family walk. It’s easy enough for kids, yet varied enough to keep everyone engaged. Hinterer Langbathsee, the smaller and quieter lake behind the first, especially captured our hearts with its peaceful atmosphere and mirror-like surface reflecting the surrounding mountains.
