Pretty nice ski area, but parking is terrible! Also signage. We had 3 cars come here at different times to meet up and everyone was confused. Also this is a lesser known area for foreigners, from what everyone keeps telling me. Mainly for intermediate and up, not beginners! Most ski/ snowboarders here expect you to be experts already and I found to be surprisingly very unfriendly to beginners!

Skiing Damüls simply a winter wonderland Off the track a bit but worth the drive The comfortable cabins and challets The long runs and short ques make it worth while Multiple lifts to top of the world Suits beginners to advanced skiers Plenty of places to stay for a few nights Great food / lunch at Wallisgarten half way up Great family skiing from late October to early April

The resort is really nice and we were lucky to have great weather. Although, The ski lift to the 3/3a/4b is not made for beginner and is really old, it scoops you up, which is okay but getting off it’s super fast at and there’s a big descent right away.

Very nice ski area !! Really looks like a winter wonderland everywhere. Slopes are varied and for all levels. I really enjoyed the area around the Ugalift and Hasenbuhel (slopes are nice, wide and the view on the valley is gorgeous). All the area of Mellau is really charming. The bottom of the slopes of Damuls may be very bumpy when the snow becomes slashy. The only "con" of this area is the fact that, in my opinion, it is not always adapted for begineers : some blue slopes have difficult paths, the training area is on the side of a cliff and though there are protection nets, be very careful with young children. Also, I found that some slopes were not enough protected with nets to prevent falling off the cliff. So, be very careful with young children as sometimes, you are not at ease letting them ski on their own...

Last thing : the bus schedules are not easy to understand and the bus lines are not well thought. No bus during rush hour. Sometimes the bus goes to the end station, sometimes not... We always had to ask the driver where he...

Nice area for skiing. But several cons: Blue is not everytime blue. Some parts they are not modified especially when it is convenient due to the difficulty of the terrain. The price policy is very hostile to skiers and families with several children. Ticket automat speak only german. If you want to buy an hourly daily pass, it starts paying as soon as you buy it, not after going through the turnstile, and I'm not talking about the fact that you buy it in only two places. Likewise, if you want to return it earlier with the right to a refund of unused time, its validity ends at the checkout. So you can say that if you don't park directly at the ticket office, you will easily lose an hour of your time. It can also be seen that it is lacking around the competition, because otherwise I would recommend...

Generally good for a couple of days. On our first day we were on the mountain and at 13h the staff told us that we needed to go down to Damuls and take the bus to return to melau (bad weather conditions). And so we did but when we got down we had to wait for the bus for 2h in the cold and rain. They should have put more buses but instead there were only one per hour and there were so many people that it was impossible to transport everybody. It was a nightmare. My friend got sick, there were children crying and scared... we saw several buses going completely empty to other directions and there was nothing we could do. When we got to Mellau it was already closed so we could no ski anymore and when we tried to get some money back we were told no without any other...
