This road is amazing. It can be quite a drive to get there trough all the villages and 60kmph roads, but when you finally get there you won't be disappointed. After paying €16,50,- you can drive on one of the most awesome roads in Tirol. The combination of fast winding roads and lots of tight hairpin corners are perfect for sporty drivers. The Silvretta isn't as busy as the Stelviopass, so a little more room to play with your car. But be careful, because this road is still very extreme.

Landschaftserlebnis.

Silvretta-Hochalpenstraße is a fantastic spot for motorcycle enthusiasts, offering a ride that’s both exhilarating and picturesque. This high alpine road is a true playground for bikers, with its sweeping curves and stunning mountain vistas. The experience of riding here is like a dream, with every turn revealing a new breathtaking view of the Alps.

However, be aware that this pleasure comes with a price. The toll fee might make you wince a bit, but trust me, it’s worth every euro. The road quality is top-notch, and the journey is nothing short of spectacular. You’ll find yourself wanting to stop at every bend to capture the beauty around you.

Interesting fact: the Silvretta-Hochalpenstraße is often referred to as the “Dream Road of the Alps,” and it’s easy to see why. Another fun tidbit – this road was originally built in the 1920s to facilitate the construction of a dam and has since become a beloved route for tourists and bikers alike.

Despite the toll, Silvretta-Hochalpenstraße is a must-ride. The combination of thrilling curves, excellent road conditions, and awe-inspiring scenery makes it a standout destination for any motorcyclist. Just make sure your camera is ready, because the views are nothing short of postcard-perfect. This is one ride you won’t...

I try to answer your request in 4 points:

  1. The GPS suggested us this route without communicating that it was a toll. The signs from the beginning of the valley do not clearly communicate in any way that the road is not toll-free. Only find out when it's too late to go back and make a toll free one.
  2. The price is extremely high compared to the distance of the route
  3. The staff we discussed this with were quite unfriendly
  4. The fact that, in an area that aim to attract international audience, a lot of communication (also in this case) is only in German and not in English does not help you to improve...
