Restaurant Silvrettasee — Restaurant in Gemeinde Gaschurn

The restaurant is placed on a beautiful lake and the view from terase is stunning. The inside of restaurant is aswell beautiful, decorated with home made wood carvings and the whole place is full of light. They have many windows and they are every day so beautifully cleaned. They have enough places to sit, they also have kids chairs at disposal. The staff is made of mostly young people which are really nice and helpful. I've came every summer last 3 years and i've never experienced stressed or annoyed work staff, they will really make exceptions when needed to help. The food is whole austrian from meat to milk and vegetables and they never buy and cook frozen imported food but all self make. It takes a couple of minutes to prepare but it tastes delicious. A nice location with a great view of the mountains and the lake. Free parking nearby. A couple of vegetarian options and a single vegan one that was a vegetable wok with rice, which was just white rice with some sauce, covered with some carrots. I think that any person who spent at least an hour in the kitchen in their life could make something better. It would be great if the restaurant/chef makes at least some effort in creating a vegan...

In unseren Augen keine Sterne verdient. Selten sowas unfreundliches erlebt, weil alle kurz vor dem Feierabend standen und wie es scheinte keine Lust mehr hatten zu arbeiten. Zuerst durften wir für 2 käse bagels, 2 almdudler und einen apfelstrudel 28€!!!!! zahlen, was in unseren Augen eine frechheit von preis ist. Wir waren nach der langen radtour einfach nur froh kurz hinsitzen zu können. Welches für uns aber nicht gerade angenehm war… hatten unsere Rücksäcke und Helme auf der Terrasse deponiert unter einem Schirm und freuten uns nachher im Schatten etwas zu essen, da der Tag ziemlich heiß war. Bis wir aber wieder zurück kamen zum Tisch, nachdem wir die total überhöhten Speisen gekauft hatten, ist bereits ein Mitarbeiter mit unserem Schirm einfach weg gelaufen. Wir haben nur noch schnell gegessen und sind dann gleich wieder gegangen, weil wir uns Punkt A nicht wohl fühlten und Punkt B einfach nur angefressen waren, dass man nicht mal kurz im Schatten essen durften, für diese Preise müsste das dann doch noch drinnen sein. Zusammenräumen, weil man Feierabend machen möchte verstehe ich, aber Schirme sind auch nach dem die Gäste weg sind, schnell abgeräumt. Waren daher leider sehr enttäuscht von diesem Zwischenstopp. Der Apfelstrudel war hingegen aber lecker, um unsere Rezension noch ein wenig positiv...
