Franzensburg Schloss, Laxenburg Park. This location is very interesting, large, and diverse. Many locals come to the park with families to relax or ride a bike. The park is beautiful and large. One-time entrance tocket to the park costs 3.5 euros, and this ticket is valid for 30 days. You can buy a ticket for several visits or for a year. Tickets for dogs are also required. All tickets are accessible online

There is a lake in the park where boats can be rented. Prices are affordable, about 24 euros per hour. A trip on a boat with an electric motor will appeal to everyone, especially children.

There is a very beautiful Franzensburg castle on the island. Excursions to the castle arranged every hour. Excursions to the tower and roofs of the castle are held twice a day, at 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. The ticket costs 11 euros for an adult and 7 euros for child over 3 years old . These are unforgettable impressions. BUT THERE IS A VERY BIG MINUS! Excursions are conducted exclusively in German. There are no any signs, no any leaflets in other languages, or even in German that could be translated using Google Translate. It seems that the management of this establishment is simply not interested in foreign visitors. Other museums in Austria have audio guides, leaflets, or just signs. There are nothing here at all! And it is very strange and very sad! It gives a very bad impression

In general, interesting! There is...

Franzensburg Castle near Vienna is an absolute hidden gem! 🌟 For just 4€ you can enter the beautiful gardens, and once inside you’ll find free toilets and drinking water (tap water is perfectly fine, but you can also buy bottled water from the restaurant if you prefer).

The castle itself is stunning — small, charming, and completely free to walk around and admire. The whole area is peaceful, quiet, and very spacious, making it perfect for a relaxing day out. You can enjoy the lake, rent a boat for a different perspective, or simply bring a picnic and spend the afternoon surrounded by nature.

I especially recommend visiting in the evening around sunset — the atmosphere is magical! Whether you’re a tourist or a local, this place is perfect for a calm escape and a...

This is a tiny commune with a large imperial park in English style Schlosspark, and a doll-like romantic castle on the shore of the lake. No one has ever lived in this castle. It was built for Emperor Franz I, Napoleon's father-in-law. Emperor Franz visited there to drink coffee with distinguished guests, enjoy the surrounding beauty and show off a little. Therefore, the castle is decorated in the style of “modest splendor.” The rooms are small, the ceilings are not palace-like, but everything is very elegant and very expensive. The park around is magical. I highly...
