Erlaufsee — Attraction in Gemeinde Mitterbach am Erlaufsee

A hidden gem of a place. 2 hours driving time from Vienna and you are at this magical place. Ideal for a day picnic with opportunity to swim (also for inexperienced swimmers). The water is not too deep.

Unfortunately the day we went the boat rental seemed to be not available although it was a Saturday. There's also a restaurant next to the lake.

Parking is available next to the lake which costs 2 euros per hour (12€ max per day). Super easy to park and within few steps you are at the lake.

It is however best to bring your own bicycle to bike around this lake. There is a cycle track erected around the lake. Otherwise it is also fun to bring your own stuff for picnic, sit and relax next...

Very nice lake in the middle of Austria with a lot of animation options for both adults and children. There are different playgrounds at the beach, there is a beach bar where you can eat or drink something, you can rent a boat to explore the lake or you can just have a nice walk around the lake. Erlaufsee is located next to a camping and is easy to access...

Sehr schöner Bergsee in ruhiger Lage das Wasser ist Glasklar das ist wirklich der Hammer es ist so unglaublich schön! Der See hat wunderbare Einstiegsmöglichkeiten es ist wie an einem Strand sehr flach und leicht zugänglich, Kindern wird viel geboten es gibt viele Möglichkeiten die kleinen den ganzen Tag zu beschäftigen angefangen von Klettergerüsten bishin zur Wasserrutsche und einem Spielplatz. Man kann sich auch am Seerestaurant gerne selbst bedienen das aber auch schon zu den eher gehobenen Preisen gehört ich mein ja alle müssen etwas verdienen aber bleibt am Boden es ist nicht aus Gold. Außerdem kann man sich ein E Boot ausleihen und den See als Hobby Kapitän erkunden. Viel Spaß dort es ist auf alle Fälle einen...
