Grosseck - Speiereck Skigebiet — Attraction in Mauterndorf

Little snow and no wind on Friday. We went out at 12:00. When we brought the tickets all the lifts were working. In 45 minutes they closed all of them but one big 8er. The weather was even better or the same during the day and they did not open anything during the whole day. The only piste that was open was in very bad condition and boring even for the first time and honestly I didn’t pay full price for one few km part of the area. Very unfair. Never coming back to this place and was very mad we spent money and our last day here when we could have gone to fanninberg or obertauern instead. Everything was above expectations, clean, tidy, the ski resort has excellent access, suitable for families or top recreational skiers. I was very surprised because they specially arrange paths for walkers at 1,800m with ratraks. 🙂 The operators of the cable cars are very friendly, helpful, always available. I could recommend hiring a good industrial painter/artist, who can do the better navigation. E.g. runs, lifts with big numbers and colors to be seen from far away and to match the map.
