Für den günstigsten Eintrittspreis bekommt man auf 3 Etagen einiges zu sehen. Die Geschichte der Salzflößer und der Gemeinden Laufen und Oberndorf, sowie die Freundschaft zwischen Mohr und Gruber. Letztere führte auch zur Entstehung des weltbekannten Liedes.

The Silent Night Memorial Chapel is a tiny white chapel in the community of Oberndorf bei Salzburg, just outside the city. I read before visit this church it was at the Romanesque parish church of St. Nikolaus in Oberndorf that the Christmas carol "Silent Night" was first performed in 1818. Awesome! And each Christmas Eve at 5pm, a memorial service in honor of the creators of the Silent Night carol takes place in front of the Silent Night Memorial Chapel. Definitely worth visiting this...

While not the original church, this chapel, built in 1937, commemorates where Silent Night was written and performed for the first time. The Chapel is free. Gift shop is small but has interesting pieces. Took the museum tour as well; very informative. Be...
