Promenadenbad the municipality Pörtschach — Attraction in Pörtschach am Wörther See

Beautiful place and and a great day to spend with the family. My only issue is with the horrible life guards. Me my family arrived late in the afternoon, 2 hours before closing. We had enjoyed 30 mins until we (only us) was told to stay near the pier as we couldn't swim. Slightly confused as were all standing head and shoulder in the water(swallow). We complied but only to be told 10 mins later by another guard to move to water knee deep as again we couldn't swim. We decided to leave as we looked around and saw everyone else enjoying the water with no hassle. I don't know if the guards are just lazy and don't wish to work to the end of their shift, or they dislike English speakers. We have been here several times with no issues. Für mich das SCHÖNSTE Strandbad Österreichs, ja Europas (so weit ich es kenne). Eingebettet von Naturschutzgebieten mit herrlichem, weißen Untergrund und daher helltürkisgrünem Wasser. Zugang über Holzbrücke auf die Blumeninsel. Bademöglichkeiten (Stege, Leitern) in der Bucht von Pörtschach und in Richtung Kapuzinerinsel bzw. Wörthersee-Südufer. Also ein herrliches Naturerlebnis. Obendrein im prominenten Ort Pörtschach gelegen. Eintritt sehr günstig (angesichts dieses "Paradieses"). Traumhaftes Panorama (Karawanken, Pyramidenkogel, Blick bis Velden). Wir machten hunderte Fotos. Die Infrastruktur habe ich kaum getestet, weil die Natur so schön war. Schwimmen um die Insel herum möglich, wir schwammen sogar ans Südufer (sicherheitshalber mit gut sichtbarer Boje). SUP-Board-Verleih. Tret- und Elektroboote gleich ausserhalb. Freundliches Personal (verliehen uns gratis Spielkarten). Gastronomie (wir gingen auf die Aussenseite) war stets super (trotz ein paar schlechter Bewertungen). Mögliche Nachteile: Sehr viele Leute bei Traumwetter (aber wir fanden immer noch ein schönes Platzerl; nur lag man teilweise Handtuch an Handtuch). Parkplätze ein paar Gehminuten entfernt. Amazing place to go for a relaxing day. There are attractions for both kids and adults, ranging from sliders to wake board. Some of them are paid, though. The water is super clear, with lots of fishes. We had a bad experience with the smaller restaurant. The employers were rude and unhelpful. Other than that,...
