Absolutely breathtaking hike! Parking costs €13 or €9.50 with the Schladming Summer Card. From the payment point, there's a 3.5 km drive to the trailhead. We recommend parking near the small wooden restroom hut – that's also where the trail ends.

This is a circular trail for experienced hikers and those not afraid of heights. The climb is steep at times, with wide steps and ladders leading you above stunning waterfalls and through a magical forest. One of the highlights is a dramatic suspension bridge crossing over the cliff, with waterfall streams rushing below – simply unforgettable!

At the top, near the Hütte, there’s a beautiful alpine lake surrounded by mountains. The water is ice cold, but a few brave souls went for a swim! The way down follows a paved road and takes about 50 minutes. Altogether, the hike took us about 3.5 hours.

Tip: end your day at the amazing Waldhäuslalm restaurant – it’s right off the road on your way out. Highly...

Suspension bridge is the best part of the trail. To get to the alpine trail follow the stream and the waterfall. It takes 1h to get from the parking to the top of the alpine trail, where you find the Gfolleralm and Riesach Lake. Then you can walk to the Preintallerhutte - it takes 1,5h. From Preintallerhutte we took a wonderful trail to Neualm (there is no alm, just nice views to the mountains around the valley), which took us 1h. From Neualm in 45 minutes we were down in the valley, where we ate a cake in the alm and then walked back to the car. The whole trekking took us around 7 hours, including taking pictures and eating. There is an entrance fee to the Untertal Valley, but there are many parking places. I highly...

Awesome trail, a lot of stairs. I didn't find a place to fill water so be sure to bring enough. Amazing views.
