This indoor bike park is the BEST!! #area47 #mtb #mountainbike #mountainbiking #pumptrack

Where to begin! This place is thee adventure hub! We chose this as our honeymoon destination as we are a couple that can't just sunbathe on a beach. We love wakeboarding and this has been one of the best cable parks we visited! Wakepark - One of the guys (Joe) at the cable park us some great coaching and managed to land a few toe side Tantrums (aka back flips). The wife even managed to hit all the obstacles and some air grabs & rotations (this is a big step up for her). Thanks to all the guys & girls at the wake park. E-motorcross - I love motorcross and the e-bikes were good fun, the course was big enough to have fun on it if you are experienced and it is easy enough for a complete beginner. My wife has never done motorcross and she loved it, in fact she was the last one on the track and the marshal had to bring her in once the time was up! MTB - we did a full day doing the single track bike park in Sölden. This was epic! Area 47 provided the bikes and all the protective gear but you need to make your own way to Sölden. We had a hire car and it was about a 35 min drive from Area 47 to the car park in Sölden. As long as you aren't afraid of heights then the MTB is well within your capability. We had a great guide and coached us as well on how to corner quicker on steeper sections. Lunch is not provided so remember to bring cash. We ate in the mountains at a place our guide recommended. Waterpark - The waterpark area is great! Lots of slides, jumps, climbing wall, slack line, trampoline and a beginner 2.0 system for learning wakeboarding. Plenty of grass to go and relax on and a bar to get a beer or juice. If your brave enough there are a few high diving boards. Also they have a huge blobbing bag which is both great to watch and to have a go! To sum up, this place is amazing and caters for all ages and abilities. We will be back as we had such an amazing time!

This is an adrenaline junkie's paradise! I took a train from Innsbruck, and then a bus 2 stops. Google maps knows the bus number and approximate pick up times. You need an app to pay for the bus (which I didn't have), but since I was only going 2 stops, the driver just waived me on back. It's not an easy walk from the bus stop, especially with luggage. I recommend taking a taxi or hitching a ride. Google maps shows a dotted line over the raging River, but there's actually a bridge you can walk across. You can arrange a free ride to and from the train station if they know ahead of time.

My double room was right next to the water area. Great views! Room had a nice sink and shower, small seating area, and 2 slim single beds with comfy bedding. The armoire contained hangers and a blow dryer. A different social activity is offered nightly. I signed up for a free yoga lesson, but it was cancelled because only 2 people signed up. I was disappointed that I wasn't contacted about the cancellation because I could have made other plans.

If you stay onsite, entrance to the water area is included, otherwise it's €30/day for adults. I used this fact to justify the high price of accommodations for me as a single person. I spent €351 for 2 nights which included 3 days admission to the water area and buffet style breakfast. It would be more reasonable to split the cost by sharing with someone. The water area includes blobbing, giant slip and slide, diving platforms, water slides, water cannon, inflatable course, slack line, trampolines with crash mat, etc. Go-pros are free to use if you buy an SD card (or bring your own). You can get into the water area before check in and stay after check out too! The luggage storage was not staffed, but I took my passport and wallet to the park and there are lockers for a €1 deposit. Speaking of deposits, you can also rent chairs and umbrellas for €2 plus deposit.

If you want to use the diving platform lift between 10 and 20m, you might need to wait until after 2pm to increase the chances that there are enough lifeguards on duty. Definitely try the giant slip and slide! Outside the entrance, there's a self-service cafeteria with outdoor seating. It was a perfect place to watch people blobbing and sliding... great poolside entertainment! I recommend wetsuits if you tend to get chilly. The slides and diving area is shaded, and there were many shivering little kids even though it was a nice, hot day. Wetsuits aren't technically allowed on the slides, but it wasn't a problem for me. I think the lifeguards are pretty liberal!

In addition to the water area, there are activities you can add on for an additional cost: high ropes course, wake area, rafting, climbing, canyoning,...

Outstanding family adventure holiday - best for “grown” children (age 10+).

Our logistics: we drove from Denmark - one car, 3 children (16, 15 and 14 y.o.), small amount of luggage, one adult (ca. 50+ y.o. mom with adventure tendencies 🙄).

It was easy to work out how to check in - it is a car-free “resort”. You could unload your luggage near reception then go park your car. Parking was accessible and longest walk back to reception area was ca. 3 minutes. I’d recommend packing in a suitcase vs many smaller bags.

There is a shuttle (either a 9-seater or a 15-seater) that takes you and luggage to your room.

You can (and should) check in early so you can access the water park until your room key is available (ca. 15:00). Same on check out day - check out is 11:00 but you can be in the water park the entire day.

I say “resort” as it is a little more basic than what resort implies. It is absolutely excellent for delivering adventure activities - nothing fancy but everything you need.

Breakfast is simple, healthy and fast. Lunch and dinner options were limited and somewhat average. Certainly adequate. We drive into town a few nights to explore restaurants in the nearby towns - or, to head to the supermarket and buy lunch ingredients for a picnic lunch next to the water park.

The resort has music at/near the water park and restaurant area. Not too loud and added to the ambiance in a positive way.

When available, resort guests can sign out bikes to trundle across the resort out bike in/around the area. Great set up, especially if you are at the far end of the resort. From the far end (where we were) - walking distance to the restaurant/water park area is ca. 10-12 minutes; biking is ca. 2 minutes; or wait for the shuttle which goes ca. every 15 minutes. Many of the activities start from there.

Rafting was my favourite activity. We went canyoning, rafting, mega swing, zip line, high ropes course, wake boarding and water park.

The above eye roll (“adventure tendencies”) is that my physical capabilities are somewhat reduced at the moment. I did manage to try wake boarding which was both ridiculously awesome and soul destroying / demoralising one-in-the-same. Absolutely with a try if you are even...
